Kryptane® polyurethane is found in a wide variety of medical uses.
Many wheels are customized for use on wheelchairs and physical therapy equipment. Kryptane Systems wheels can also be made with stainless steel hubs to withstand rigorous cleaning. Urethane springs can often eliminate several metal pieces. The material can be engineered to either return much of the energy or absorb and dissipate the energy of an impact.
Additionally, urethane springs do not have the sudden shock at the end of travel like a steel spring experiences. Kryptane urethane is also used in areas where static dissipation is necessary to reduce static electricity build up.
